Barcelona - Part I

Barcelona war wieder grandios. Die Architektur ist so einmalig und das Essen so gut, dass man die Stadt gar nicht mehr verlassen mag. Zumindest bringt man volle Bäuche, schöne Erinnerungen und einige Bilder mit nach Hause. Letzteres würde ich gerne mit euch teilen und dadurch zu den ersten beiden Punkten animieren.

Barcelona was amazing. The architecture is one of a kind and the food was so good that we didn't want to leave this city ever again. We brought full tummies, beautiful memories and lots of pictures home with us. The latter I would like to share with you to inspire you to the two first points.

Einer meiner kulinarischen Hotspots war "Brunch & Cake". Ich hätte mich am liebsten durch die gesamte Karte probiert. Das ist leider etwas kostspielig und tut der Figur nicht gut. Wir haben uns deshalb für Waffeln, Putenbrust und Eggs Benedict entschieden. Die Kombination ist der Hammer. Wenn die Waffel noch frisch gewesen wäre, wäre ich nie wieder gegangen. Unser Airbnb war auch unschlagbar. Sehr persönlich eingerichtet in einem puristischen, katalanischen Stil.

One of my culinary hotspots was "Brunch & Cake". I'd love to try everything on their menu. Unfortunately this would be quite expensive and not so beneficial for my beach body. So we've decided to take the waffles with turkey breast and eggs benedict. The combination is a killer. If the waffles were freshly made I would've never left this place. Same thing with our Airbnb. It was lovely  decorated und furnished in a puristic, Catalan style.

Die kleinen Gassen und großen Straßen von Barcelona begeistern mich jedes Mal. Wir haben die Stadt dieses Mal überwiegend zu Fuß oder auf der Vespa erkundigt und so besonders viel zu sehen bekommen. Ich kann euch übrigens "Vesping" sehr empfehlen. Man leiht sich einen Roller und fährt entweder gemeinsam mit einem Reiseführer oder per Navi durch die Stadt.

The little alleys and big streets of Barcelona impress me every time we visit. We've been exploring the city mostly by foot or with our vespa so that we got to see lots of it. I highly recommend "Vesping" to you. You book a Vespa and get a guided tour or a navigation device to see the city from a new and different point of view.

Kein Städtebesuch ohne Museen. Sonst lässt man einen wichtigen Bestandteil der hiesigen Kultur aus. Das MACBA zeigt zeitgenössische Kunst in gewohnt cleaner Umgebung. Das Gebäude war schön anzuschauen, aber die Ausstellung hat uns nicht unbedingt umgehaun. 

Die nächsten Tage bekommt ich noch ein paar Bilder von Barcelona zu sehen. Ich wünsche euch einen schönen Feiertag oder einen entspannten Donnerstag bei der Arbeit. So oder so: Morgen ist Freitag und dann Wochenende! Da steht bei uns Spannendes an. Schaut doch mal auf Instagram vorbei.

We're not visiting a city without seeing a museum - or two, or three... Or else you're missing out on an important part of the local culture. The MACBA shows contemporary art in a very clean ambience. The architecture was nice to look at but the exhibition didn't impress us that much.
